As a Field Safety Rep, you will manage all field safety training activities in pursuit of our core purpose—to create great opportunities for people. You will orient new employees with our safety culture, implement our safety program on all company projects and services/maintenance assignments, and interface with local project leadership to keep safety front and center in daily operations. You will assist branch leadership in creating a workplace safe for employees, partners, and customers.

- Translate the Company’s safety strategy and programs into practical actions within the local branch
- Partner with leadership to continuously improve safety processes and outcomes
- Engage employees at all levels proactively in safety, ensuring responsibilities, policies, practices, and cultural expectations are clear
- Implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and prevent incidents through engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment
- Leverage employee feedback to create a culture of continuous improvement
- Drive proactive incident response action plans with an emphasis on immediate mitigation and intelligent case management
- Conduct and train on thorough near‑miss and incident investigations within local business units
- Investigate safety incidents, determine probable cause, recommend corrective actions, and facilitate resolution
- Attend training and self‑study to stay current on all federal, state, and local regulations that impact the business, ensuring compliance with all employer requirements
- Select personal protective equipment (PPE) and related inventory for the branch
- Update the safety software with investigations, completed training sessions, and corrective actions
- Coordinate and conduct safety training in compliance with Company, federal, state, and local laws
- Reinforce safety program standards through regular, in‑person job site visits and detailed safety audits
- Demonstrate commitment to an injury‑free environment through personal accountability and mentoring
- Liaise with outside parties and/or internal safety subject matter experts as needed
- 5+ years of relevant safety experience
- Prior work experience in a highly safety‑sensitive environment, such as construction
- Hazard recognition and safety risk management skills
- Basic proficiency with computer applications and training development software
- Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate with diverse audiences
- Familiarity with mechanical construction requirements and OSHA regulations
