Construction Manager-Level 3

Construction manager is an onsite position based in Juno Beach, FL on a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). The manager is responsible for the project's success from a field level, spending 70% office and 30% field. You report to the onsite Manager.

• Know contract documents.
• Site Safety Orientation and Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Kickoff Meeting: let the contractor know expectations.
• Site Specific Orientation.
• Read permits, road use agreements, crossing agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, material schedule, QA/QC, submittals to engineering for review.
• Fill out Safety Assessments/CILs (Unifier).
• Report and Weekly documentation to CM.
• QA/QC (Unifier) and Site Photo's.

• Develop a good relationship with the contractor (if possible).
• Quality Project (know specs and drawings; rework increases safety risk).
• Know the schedule (C1 and Contractor P‑6).
• Track progress and approve the CSU (project tracking spreadsheet must be accurate).
• Oversee project success to have zero injuries and meet schedule with a quality product.

• Use data gathered in change order disputes.
• Communicate with PM when help is needed; provide background story.

• Environmental:
  Use the environmental team.
• 3rd party audits of contractor:
  Resource for information and questions.

• Help manage delivery schedule of material.

• Use their knowledge of safety and be a great resource.

• SME exists for each discipline:
  Civil, Structural, Construction, Electrical, and.

• Use land agents for planning, difficult landowners, information about landowners and land agreements.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 11 to 15 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years as a construction manager.

Base salary range: $78.00/hr to $83.00/hr.
