Salary: $140,000 - $180,000
Location: HQ in Burlington, MA - projects throughout the Greater Boston area
We are partnered with a leading construction firm to identify a qualified Project Superintendent to oversee field operations for a dormitory project on the Tufts University campus. This opportunity is well-suited for a professional who can independently manage jobsite activities while continuing to develop within a high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily jobsite operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Drive execution of the project schedule through proactive planning, work sequencing, and milestone management
- Partner with the Project Manager to execute the master schedule and develop detailed three-week look-ahead plans
- Coordinate site logistics, subcontractors, and trade sequencing to maintain efficient workflow
- Enforce safety protocols, including daily inspections, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and documentation
- Oversee quality control through inspections, mockups, and adherence to best practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date jobsite documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, reports, and photos
- Lead subcontractor and foreman meetings; identify and resolve field issues in a timely manner
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison with clients, design teams, and regulatory officials
- Coordinate inspections and support project closeout, including punch list and turnover activities
- Mentor and supervise field staff, fostering a productive, accountable, and team-oriented jobsite culture
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large-scale projects (preferred project size: $20M+)
- Strong background in Commercial or Multifamily residential construction required
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field personnel effectively
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, cost control, safety regulations, and quality management
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents (plans and specifications)
- Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License required
- Current CPR/First Aid certification required
- OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred within one year)
- Proficiency with digital tools for reporting and communication (e.g., daily reports, photo documentation)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and working on uneven terrain
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
