Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Superintendent to join our Project Delivery and Construction team near Burlington, Massachusetts
.
- Collect and assemble on‑site testing reports, inspection reports, and the completion of Construction Completion Records for close‑out documentation to the IPS Commissioning/Validation team and client.
- Assume primary responsibility for activities associated with specific trades on assigned construction sites.
- Lead assigned vendors and subcontractors to meet project goals.
- Ensure achievement of safety objectives and corporate goals on assigned projects.
- Ensure projects meet applicable quality requirements.
- Interact with clients at the site on assigned projects and promote positive relationships.
- Support the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent in the development and maintenance of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.
- Support the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent in the development and maintenance of project schedules, including targeted and actual activities lists, durations, and sequencing logic.
- Develop a working knowledge of the project budget for assigned trades and identify exceptions to the project budget throughout the execution of the project.
- Support the Project Director and Project Manager in the development of change control documentation and related financial documentation.
- Oversee the work of assigned vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Participate in constructability reviews of design documents.
- Support the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent in the procurement and coordination of all required extra‑corporate project resources.
- Work with the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent to conduct pre‑bid walk‑throughs and descope meetings.
- Support the Project Manager in the evaluation of vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Assist in the evaluation of requests for payment against actual performance.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor field T&M change requests.
- Evaluate the legitimacy of the request in terms of contractual requirements and the validity of the cost estimate.
- Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel, and produce documentation of communication between project participants.
- Support the RFI process.
- Personally make periodic site inspections and evaluations, and report on the results of those inspections.
- Support the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent in the production of daily reports of site conditions, including weather, force levels, and safety issues.
- In concert with IPS Health and Safety Professionals, review job safety analysis documentation and other safety documentation as required by the corporate safety program.
- Support the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent in periodic coordination meetings with trade subcontractors at the site.
- Support the Construction Manager and Document Control to ensure that all submittals are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements.
- Review submittals as necessary to meet project requirements.
- Support the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent in ensuring compliance of project activities with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee startup activities of assigned trades if included in the project scope.
- Oversee commissioning activities of assigned trades if included in the project scope.
- Other duties as assigned.
