Project Executive – Commercial Construction

A highly respected, employee-owned construction management firm is seeking an experienced Project Executive to lead multiple complex commercial construction projects while mentoring project teams and building long‑term client relationships.

This is a key leadership position for someone who enjoys developing people, driving project success, and helping shape the future growth of an organization. What You'll Do

As a Project Executive, you'll provide executive oversight for multiple construction projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal project teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Mentor and support Project Managers in achieving successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and financial performance.
  • Review project status reports, forecasts, and risk assessments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Support preconstruction efforts, budgeting, estimating, and project pursuits.
  • Participate in client presentations, proposal development, and business development activities.
  • Resolve complex project challenges while maintaining exceptional client service.
  • Help establish strategic direction for assigned projects and market sectors.
  • Develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible commercial construction experience.
  • Proven success managing multiple large-scale projects and leading project teams.
  • Experience with academic, higher education, institutional, healthcare, or commercial construction is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and project forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable representing the company with clients, industry organizations, and business development opportunities.
