At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Copywriter & Content Specialist to join our dedicated team at any of our US office locations (MA, PA, NJ, MD, NC, KS, or CA).

In this role, you will play a fundamental role in the development and execution of on-brand content to support strategic business goals globally. This role requires an ability to transform highly technical subjects and insights into compelling storytelling with clear, engaging copy across multiple platforms. Writing assignments and responsibilities vary widely across channels, and this role brings to life IPS's brand tone of voice through each.

Responsibilities
  • Ideate both quippy, short‑form copy (omnichannel ad campaigns, branch signage, UX copy, etc.), as well as longer‑form content (press releases, landing pages, blogs, direct mail, video scripting, product sheets, brochures, etc.)
  • Conduct structured interviews with project teams, subject matter experts, and team leads to gather detailed, differentiated information about goals, challenges, solutions, and outcomes.
  • Write clear, engaging narratives that align with the IPS brand voice.
  • Translate technical concepts into accessible, human‑centered storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all content; edit and proofread for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with copy standards.
  • Prepare fixed content narratives for inclusion in the IPS asset management system.
  • Collaborate globally to refine and synthesize messaging and understand linkage to broader business goals.
  • Contribute to new messaging strategies, brand positioning, and value propositions.
  • Lead additional writing projects, including web content, event abstracts, case studies, and thought leadership coverage.
  • Occasionally review content drafted by others, editing for brand voice and copy standards.
  • Optimize content for SEO and digital engagement.
  • Support content performance tracking and reporting.
  • Research industry trends, terminology, and competitive landscape to demonstrate subject‑matter expertise in your writing.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional copywriting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience creating content for a variety of channels with in-depth knowledge and understanding of media platforms, their respective users, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong command of grammar and style.
  • Understanding of brand positioning and experience developing or maintaining brand voice.
  • Self‑motivated with a high level of initiative and follow‑through.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Seeks out information to enhance understanding and to build and nurture relationships across the organization.
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application (i.e., content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword optimization.
  • Strong interviewing, listening, and synthesis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AEC terminology and project delivery processes.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads and Google Analytics.

The salary offered for this role is between $60,000 and $90,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, location, and education.
