This educator will work with elementary school students with diverse learning needs for the school year. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, and collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success. Responsibilities include creating an inclusive learning environment, utilizing differentiated teaching strategies, and advocating for students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth.
Location:
In-Person (no hybrid or remote options)
Schedule:
9:00am - 3:30pm
Duration: 2025 - 2026 school year
Weekly Guaranteed
Hours:
35 hours per week
Grade Level: 1st - 2nd grade
- Provide individualized instruction and support to meet students' IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize differentiated teaching strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Advocate for students’ academic, social, and behavioral development.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective and engaging instruction aligned with IEPs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
- Attend meetings and contribute to team planning for student success.
- Implement classroom management strategies that support all learners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.
- Massachusetts state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs in a classroom setting.
