American Education and Thinking Academy (AETA) is an independent educational academy located in Burlington, MA. We are currently seeking one enthusiastic and talented full-time Counselor to join our team.

  • Monday: 11-7 (In-Person)
  • Tuesday: 11-7 (In-Person)

  • Saturday: OFF
  • Sunday: 9-5 (In-Person)

Work Location: On-site in Burlington, MA

Start Date: As soon as possible

1. College Application Counseling
  • Provide one-on-one, comprehensive college counseling to middle and high school students, including college selection, application strategy, timelines, and financial aid fundamentals.
  • Guide students through all components of the college application process, including school lists, essays, resumes, extracurricular activities, and recommendation coordination.
  • Stay current on college admissions trends, policies, testing requirements, and institutional priorities, and proactively communicate updates to students and parents.
2. Private School Application Counseling
  • Provide one-on-one private school counseling to elementary and middle school students and their families, including school selection, application strategy, timelines, and financial aid fundamentals.
  • Advise families on private middle school and high school planning, with a focus on long‑term academic and extracurricular pathways.
  • Guide students through all components of private school applications, including school lists, essays, interviews, extracurricular profiles, and recommendation coordination.
  • Review and advise on student and parent essays, ensuring clarity, authenticity, and alignment with admissions expectations.
  • Manage and track Final date to receive applicationss, requirements, and student progress across multiple private schools.
  • Stay current on private school admissions trends, policies, and testing requirements, and maintain professional relationships with private school admissions offices.
  • Maintain consistent and proactive parent communication, providing individualized guidance and strategic planning.
