Job Description

LABBB Collaborative provides educational programming and support services for over 300 special‑needs students across 65 districts. We serve students ages 3 to 22 with a variety of types of learning and developmental challenges. We are seeking an Educational Coach to support college‑aged students on the Middlesex Community College campus.

About the Role

As an Educational Coach, you will support students with intellectual or developmental disabilities who are enrolled in college courses at Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA. Your responsibilities include attending classes, providing academic tutoring, helping students access college services, and supporting transition‑readiness skills such as community safety and travel training.

Responsibilities
  • Support the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in college classes at Middlesex Community College (MCC) in Bedford.
  • Attend virtual and/or in‑person classes with students.
  • Follow the college calendar, working during labbb school vacations, professional days, and other scheduled periods.
  • Serve as an academic tutor when needed.
  • Assist students in accessing college services and resources.
  • Support students' development of independence, social awareness, language, academic skills, and appropriate college behavior.
  • Uphold LABBB’s mission and core values, and adhere to laws, policies, procedures, and ethical standards of the field.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with a minimum of two years of college experience (preferably in a related field).
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in a related field.
  • Sensitivity to student needs and concerns, flexibility, patience, and high professional integrity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations of students.
  • Energetic, self‑starter able to complete multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Technological competency on Blackboard, Google Suite, social media, and other platforms.
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and participating in physical interventions when needed.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work‑visa status required.
Salary Range

$43,475 to $59,892 per year, commensurate with experience and education. This range includes compensation for a required four‑week summer program.
