After School Program Teachers are responsible for supporting a safe, structured, and engaging environment for school-age children. Reporting to the Site Coordinator, this role includes supervising students, leading activities, and guiding Teacher’s Assistants to ensure high-quality program delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise children in accordance with required student-to-teacher ratios
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, following established policies and emergency procedures
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, enriching activities in collaboration with program staff
- Provide supervision during all program components, including classroom time, gym, and outdoor play
- Support students during homework time by offering guidance and assistance
- Promote positive behavior by providing structure, encouragement, and clear expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program space
- Collaborate with staff to support daily operations and program effectiveness
- Communicate with the Site Coordinator, Program Administrator, and Director regarding behavioral concerns or program needs
- Comply with all policies outlined in the Parent and Staff Handbooks
- Maintain a consistent work schedule aligned with program needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director
- EEC Qualifications equal to Group Leader
- Minimum three years experience working with children.
Position is available from school dismissal through 6:00 PM Monday‑Friday during the school year, with additional hours available over the summer months.
Salary: $20 per hour.
This position is eligible to participate in the EEC Scholarship Program, providing free educational opportunities!
