Our client, a leader in medical device innovation, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to join their dynamic team. As a Mechanical Engineer IV, you will be supporting the Heart Failure R&D division, contributing to the development of life‑saving technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for advancing healthcare solutions, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IV

Location: Burlington, MA

Pay Range: $70 to 75/ hr on w2

What's the Job?
  • Specify, design, verify, and validate mechanical components and subsystems for implantable medical devices in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Apply empirical, numerical, and experimental analysis (such as FEA, CFD) to evaluate and optimize device performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and execute test methods and simulation models to identify and mitigate design risks, ensuring product robustness.
  • Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and documentation efforts including CAD models, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including electrical, software, clinical, and manufacturing engineering to drive project success.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related STEM field.
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in Solid Works or equivalent CAD software and FEA tools such as COMSOL.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for reliability.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and deliver results in a regulated environment.
