The Senior Test Technician will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and
maintaining robust test solutions for our advanced electronics products. This position
requires a hands-on individual who can work through each step of high/low voltage
electrical analysis, which will include electrical test, non-destructive troubleshooting,
environmental testing, writing procedures, and completing QC signoffs. Requires at least
4 years of demonstrated controls troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Conduct electrical checkout on circuitry and troubleshoot various issues
? Oversee testing of PCB’s, diagnose issues and managing PCB inventory
? Complete all QC documentation prior to releasing to Test team
? Operate available test equipment such as DMM, PQA, Oscilloscope, etc.
? Work on several analyses concurrently
? Ensure tasks are performed on time, safely, and in a professional manner
? Participate and collaborate across various departments
? Perform quality control inspection points for various machines
? Following procedures, perform Electrical Check Out on various machines
? Develop test procedures and work instructions in collaboration with Engineering
group
? Oversee calibration program. Work directly with Metrology company in collecting
tools and schedule pick up / drop off
? Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality within assembly
and manufacturing processes
? Contribute to robust product test plans and methods in partnership with Product
and Test Engineering teams
? Participate in technical meetings
? Set up, assemble, test, and install control system electronic hardware
? Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Minimum 4 years’ experience as an Electrical Test Technician performing high
voltage circuit analysis, troubleshooting, and repairs
? Associate’s degree in engineering technology preferred, but not required
? Strong electrical and mechanical skills, proficiency with 480-or 208-volt three phase,
120 VAC, and 24 VDC control and power systems is a must
? Must be able to read and understand standard electrical schematics and be skilled in
troubleshooting control systems during start up, debug and servicing.
Strong PLC maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting skills desired
? IPC-A- 610, A-620 and J-STD-001 training a strong plus
? Knowledge of 3 phase, single phase, DC power circuits, and control logic
? Ability to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic
problems in wiring, harnesses, PC boards and control systems
? Ability to read schematics, ladder diagrams, and wire run lists
? Ability to record, extrapolate, report, and communicate data and test results
? Experience in using electrical test equipment
? Experience in electronic component failure analysis
? Excellent computer skills, familiar with networking, MS Office applications
? Hands-on experience in a workshop setting, including manufacturing, assembly,
and prototyping
? Motivated, team-oriented, and passionate about engineering and manufacturing
? Able to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods of time
