Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller | Burlington, MA | Hybrid
$130–150K base + bonus
Our client, agrowing company in the Burlington area is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team in a highly visible, hands‑on accounting role reporting directly to Finance leadership.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and oversee reconciliations
• Support AP, AR, invoicing, and cash management processes
• Assist with inventory analysis and operational accounting activities
• Partner cross-functionally to improve accounting workflows and reporting
• Support ERP/system enhancements and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with financial reporting, internal controls, and ad hoc analysis

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience in an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller capacity preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Hands‑on accounting background with willingness to operate in the details
• Experience working within ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment
