Responsible for unit dose distribution including familiarity with medications, dosage forms and storage requirements.;
May also compound sterile and non-sterile medication preparations.;
Communicates with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of medications.;
Delivers medications, including controlled substances, to nursing areas and ancillary departments in accordance with established policies and procedures, and DEA and DPH regulations.; Serves as a subject matter expert in an area of inpatient pharmacy technician practice.
