Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Employee Development, this newly created position will be responsible for supporting our employee development portfolio and programs, as well as employee engagement and recognition initiatives, partnering closely with the greater Human Resources and routinely liaising with employees and people leaders across business groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support the creation and execution of various employee development programming (which may include live, facilitated skill building workshops, “power hour” seminars, creation of e‑learning content, hosting peer learning groups, etc.)
  • Lead administration and management of our Success Factors Learning LMS and other learning platforms, collaborating with IT to optimize platform features as needed.
  • Work with the Director of Employee Development to coordinate annual employee opinion survey; interface with senior leadership on results and action planning.
  • Maintain repository of company‑wide job descriptions; create and maintain framework for job families and career pathing.
  • Support the implementation of individual development plan (IDP) process.
  • Conduct new hire check‑ins, stay interviews and exit interviews and draw insights from employees and people managers at key milestones to shape the PEC employee experience.
  • Lead and maintain employee recognition initiatives, including PEC “swag” program and platform (Snappy) and other recognition and award programs.
  • Serve as HR point of contact for culture initiatives, including employee‑led Culture Committee, to gather insights, concerns and ideas, and help champion activities as needed.
  • Craft employee‑facing communications to inform colleagues on employee development, engagement and recognition announcements.
  • Other projects and duties, as required.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience (L&D, employee engagement) in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated command of HR disciplines and how they impact and align with functional area goals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including strong facilitation skills.
  • System savvy (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to prioritize and problem‑solve independently, and collaborate/escalate as needed.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, integrity, and professionalism particularly with senior stakeholders.
  • Resourceful, resilient, service‑oriented and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel as needed for training and engagement programs and events.
Strongly Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Success Factors Learning or other LMS or LXP platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with Articulate Rise 360 or other learning content creation tool.
  • Demonstrated experience (or aspiration towards) facilitating workshops, focus groups and other employee‑facing forums.
