Human Resources Manager

Location: Burlington, MA

Clearance: Secret / Able to obtain a secret

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract top‑tier talent, ensuring alignment with company goals and culture. Review offer packets from recruiters.
  • Lead and refine the onboarding process to foster positive first impressions and ensure new hires are equipped for success. Ensure new hire paperwork processing, employee file set‑up and maintenance, update and monitor HR database information, and generate reports as needed.
  • Guide employees on HR procedures, addressing workplace issues, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Design and implement innovative programs to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Oversee training programs aimed at career development and skill enhancement.
  • Identify leadership opportunities and create impactful succession planning strategies.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to labor laws, industry regulations, and internal company policies, making timely updates to HR procedures and employee handbooks.
  • Oversee a robust performance review process, setting clear benchmarks and guiding managers to foster productivity and accountability.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, address gaps, and recommend improvements that align with business objectives.
  • Provide expert coaching and mentorship to employees and supervisors.
  • Create detailed HR reports and dashboards for senior management, providing actionable insights for strategic decision‑making. Prepare and submit reports required by federal, state, and local agencies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Human Resource Specialist, including at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  • SHRM‑CP Certification.
  • Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations, government reporting, and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • In‑depth understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience preparing affirmative action plans, Affordable Care Act reporting, non‑discrimination testing, veterans reporting, HIRD reporting and EEO‑1 reporting.
  • Proficient with HR management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with HR analytics tools and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Familiar with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Payroll processing experience.
