We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Recognition Analyst to join our growing finance team in Boston. This hybrid role (2 days per week in-office) will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, while also supporting compliance activities. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative and analytical mindset, strong technical accounting expertise, and a passion for working in a quickly growing public company focused on cyber resilience.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, and FP&A to review customer contracts and identify revenue implications.
- Support themonthly and quarterly revenue close process, including trend and variance analyses, preparation of revenue‑related journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of revenue disclosures and documentation to support SEC filings (10-Qs & 10-Ks).
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, and internal revenue recognition policies.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over revenue recognition in accordance with SOX requirements.
- Support and coordinate with internal and external auditors on revenue-related matters.
- Participate in system implementations, system enhancements, and automation initiatives related to revenue processes.
- Identify and propose improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of revenue-related processes.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in revenue recognition.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition.
- Experience in a public accounting firm and/or publicly traded technology company (preferably SaaS or cybersecurity).
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX compliance.
- Familiarity with Net Suite or similar ERP systems and revenue automation tools (e.g., Net Suite ARM, Zuora, Aptitude) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
This position has a starting base salary range of $72,000 to $80,000 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for bonus.
