Azure IAM Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Azure IAM Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ), Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud security, and hybrid identity environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise identity solutions while collaborating with security, cloud, and application teams to enforce IAM best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ) solutions for authentication, authorization, and identity governance.
- Manage user identities, roles, and access controls using RBAC, PIM, and Conditional Access policies.
- Implement and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity federation.
- Configure and manage Azure AD Connect for hybrid identity environments.
- Monitor, identify, and remediate identity-related security vulnerabilities and risks.
- Perform access reviews, auditing, and compliance reporting.
- Integrate IAM solutions with enterprise applications and third-party services.
- Automate IAM operational processes using Power Shell, Azure CLI, or other scripting tools.
- Provide incident response and troubleshoot identity and access-related issues.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to implement IAM best practices.
- Strong experience with Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra .
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Conditional Access Policies.
- Identity Protection.
- Single Sign-On (SSO), SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Azure AD Connect and hybrid identity environments.
- Cloud security and IAM best practices.
- Power Shell and Azure CLI scripting.
- Zero Trust security model.
- Azure Update Manager.
- Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
- Service Now.
- Windows Server and Linux administration.
- SIEM and Endpoint Security tools.
- 8–10 years of overall professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- IAM certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong issue ownership and customer service mindset.
- Understanding of ITIL concepts is desired.
