What You'll Do

As a Senior Buyer/Planner, you will own the end-to-end supply chain process for Stack Forging Thermal Solutions. You will support production, engineering, and general business procurement activities while serving as a liaison with corporate procurement. You will advance supply chain processes with a direct impact on rapid growth.

This position generally requires a commitment of three days onsite per week.

Who You Are

You are a strategic planner who takes pride in maintaining a seamless flow of materials through our manufacturing environment. You are hands‑on and proactive, diving into the details of our supply chain and production schedules to anticipate bottlenecks before they occur. You strive to understand manufacturing systems because you know effective planning is rooted in practical knowledge of how products are built.

You are comfortable navigating complex supplier relationships and market fluctuations while maintaining focus on building a resilient and efficient operation where every component is available when needed.

You will operate in a dotted‑line capacity to central procurement, ensuring all activities are executed in alignment with JCI policies and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including generating and tracking purchase orders for production, engineering, and general business requirements.
  • Drive procurement and inventory planning activities to ensure optimal stock levels and production continuity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor sales trends and proactively adjust purchasing plans in response to changing demand.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to source equipment components while optimizing cost and lead times without compromising technical requirements.
  • Serve as the primary supply chain liaison for the Supplier Management Board and support supplier quality initiatives.
  • Coordinate with central procurement to ensure compliance with JCI policies while effectively leveraging global sourcing resources.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and lead times to maximize cost-effectiveness and supply reliability.
  • Analyze market conditions and supplier performance to mitigate risks and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain proactive communication with internal stakeholders regarding supplier status, schedule changes, and potential project delays.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, material planning, and vendor management within a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with ERP and other planning systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Manufacturing experience within Supply Chain functions.
IRING SALARY RANGE

$80,000-$105,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. However, we recognize that exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
