Job SummaryAssist store managers and manager in training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve sales goals, control expenses, and protect company assets.

- Assist in recruiting and hiring high‑caliber employees
- Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
- Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees through enforcement of company policies
- Ensure implementation of company initiatives to the standard of company direction
- Recognize talent and develop staff for growth within the company
- Supervise and manage daily store operations in absence of Store Manager or Manager in Training
- Supervise and manage loss prevention practices in absence of Store Manager or Manager in Training
- Communicate store needs effectively to Store Manager and Manager in Training
- Resolve customer issues effectively
- Provide a fun, full‑service experience to all customers
- Understand and demonstrate Journeys culture to the team
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Desire to succeed in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Willingness to learn
- Complete all mandatory training programs leading up to Co‑Manager position or equivalent
- Work 45 hours per week
- Work night and weekend shifts
- Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time
- Must be at least 18 years of age*
