The role of the Overnight
Assistant Healthcare Manager is responsible to oversee a safe and smoothly run operation for all overnight programs. The Assistant Manager maintains effective communication with the PCC Manager, General Manager and Client on a consistent basis. The AHM will have on average 15-20+ employees reporting to them on each shift. To success at this role, healthcare experience is not as critical as leadership and strong operational experience.

This position will routinely interact with the Clinical Nursing Leadership team to obtain feedback, resolve staff concerns and promote a strong alliance between VPNE and Lahey Clinic.
Be confident in handling employee disciplinary concerns, including sending employees home if not compliant with VPNE and hospital policies.
Operationsensuring the success of operations through continued preparation and communication; anticipating and resolving department needs (including but not limited to resources) by utilizing a proactive approach to daily operations preparedness
Resource Planningoversee the overnight schedule and ensure that all mandatory positions always have coverage, time off is properly planned with employees, employee breaks are covered and attendance is tracked.
Training and EducationEnsure new hires are properly performing during their shadow training. Assist with precepting new hires towards the end of their initial training. Plan and execute additional training and development as needed, with each overnight employee.
CommunicationConduct a proper hand-off to the day manager and be able to send end of shift recaps and ensure seamless communication with the Lahey clinical team.
QualificationsMust be available for 2-3 weeks to train on first and second shift before overnight schedule can begin.
Years of
Experience:
1+ years of experience in Customer Service or Healthcare, managing employees.
Must be comfortable sending emails and using Microsoft Office and be able to quickly learn business applications.
Must be someone able to work independently, identify areas of opportunity and assist with executing process improvement.
Requirements- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
- Ability to prioritize issues correctly to make the most positive business impact.
- Ability to walk for a majority of the shift.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check
- Possess organizational skills.
- Availability to attend routine (paid) team calls at a designated time (TBD) during the day to be able to interact with the 1st and 2nd shift management.
- Must be able to work some holidays and weekends as needed.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, Dayforce, and W2W-scheduling application.
