Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Nursing Float Pool - Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic experience and night shift availability in Massachusetts.
Responsibilities- Hospital-based Nursing Float Pool assignment
- Med/Surg Telemetry patient population with patient ratios of 1:3–5
- Floating required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units during 4-hour blocks within the shift
- 12-hour night shifts; weekends for nights include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Every other weekend required
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Pass/fail testing will be administered on day one (Telemetry/ECG and Medication tests)
- Relias practice tests will be available to help candidates prepare prior to testing
- COVID vaccine and booster required; flu vaccine required during flu season — medical exemptions are accepted
- Any previous employee (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered for this position
- First-time travelers may be considered only if they have Level 1 trauma experience
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if no prior travel experience
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
