Neurosciences Critical Care Unit Nurse Position Details
Guaranteed contract hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments, excluding any on-call hours worked.
Shifts consist of 12-hour rotations covering days and nights, scheduled in 4-week blocks. Rotation may occur every other 4-week schedule or as needed.
Experience in Neuro ICU is required.
The Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU) is an 18-bed combined Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) focused on delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with complex neurological conditions.
The multidisciplinary team specializes in caring for patients recovering from acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, neurointerventional radiology procedures, and various neurosurgical treatments.
The NCCU provides advanced monitoring and management for critically ill neuroscience patients, employing state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based protocols to enhance neurological recovery and patient outcomes.
Highly skilled nurses work closely with neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation specialists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient-centered care throughout the recovery process.
- Certifications:
NIHSS, ACLS, BLS - Massachusetts nursing license
- Experience with Epic electronic health records
- Willingness to travel
- Level 1 experience
- Must have been separated from previous employer for at least 6 months to qualify
- Local candidates will not be considered
