Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a new team member to join its Consumer Design & Innovation team to help develop the next generation of Keurig coffee appliances. As the #1 single‑serve coffee brewing system in the U.S., we take pride in our consumer‑centric approach to product development, so this role will have an influential impact on how our coffee appliances are created.

The Senior Design / UX Researcher role is responsible for defining and evaluating the customer experience for our appliance product line. This individual will build a comprehensive design / UX research program to complement our existing industrial design and user experience practices. You will collaborate with the Design, Product and Consumer Insights teams to help create and evaluate innovation concepts by prioritizing research questions based on analysis of current knowledge, project goals, and potential risks.
You will identify the best methods with consideration for timeline and resources, and you should be able to take a creative and nimble approach while weighing potential impact to data quality.
- Identify research needs to drive design and UX maturity/decision‑making across new product development programs.
- Partner with consumer insights and product management teams to develop comprehensive learning plans that influence design, UX, new product development and front‑end innovation.
- Manage a mix of external research partners and in‑house capabilities, including scoping, project briefs, purchase requisition, project oversight, etc.
- When required, lead user research activities (recruitment, protocol development, moderation and analysis).
- Manage an annual budget for external research activities across a portfolio of new product development programs and advanced development activities.
- Ensure maximize efficiency of our research investments by transferring knowledge between development programs/teams.
- Own the “Ease‑of‑Use” component of our Product Attribute Leadership strategy – including attribute roadmap, measurement system, and target setting for new products.
- Manage strategic research projects applicable across the products to develop categorical knowledge for all brewers and platforms moving forward.
- Advocate for customer’s behaviors and needs throughout the development process by translating data and findings into compelling presentations and useful design inspiration.

- Salary Range: $76,400 - $130,000 (actual placement may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors).

- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience across product design and UX research.
- Proven experience in scoping and leading research programs, teams and vendors in a variety of research methodologies including: user research, human factors, design thinking, innovation, consumer co‑creation, rapid iterative testing, usability testing, etc.
- New product development processes with in‑depth knowledge of where and when to insert research activities to drive consumer value (including experience with Agile, Rapid Learning Cycles and Stage Gate methodologies).
