Summary

The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports the department manager to drive sales, meet productivity goals, and deliver exceptional customer service. This role involves coaching and developing the sales team, executing merchandising and presentation standards, and actively selling on the floor to build customer relationships. The assistant manager also helps manage inventory accuracy and shrinkage control.

• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and motivate department sales team
• Assist the department manager in developing and executing business plans to achieve volume and productivity goals
• Coach and lead salespeople to deliver outstanding customer service
• Maintain merchandising and presentation standards
• Actively sell on the sales floor to build long-term customer relationships
• Support accurate inventory management and shrinkage reduction efforts

• Proven track record of strong sales results and productivity
• Competitive drive and confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals
• Experience building productive relationships with store and department leaders and merchandisers
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
