Vice President of Partnerships will drive immediate commercial growth by securing high-value partnerships and long-term customer agreements. This highly execution-focused role requires a results-oriented professional who thrives on closing deals, building a pipeline from the ground up, and turning early conversations into contracted revenue. The incumbent will operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, working existing relationships and new opportunities to accelerate timelines and bring Phoenix’s materials into critical supply chains as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and convert a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities across defense, automotive, clean technology, and advanced manufacturing sectors
- Identify and directly engage key decision-makers across Tier 1 OEMs and strategic supply chain partners
- Originate, negotiate, and close long‑term offtake agreements and commercial partnerships that drive bankable offtakes and production scaling
- Structure complex commercial agreements, including pricing, volume commitments, and risk‑sharing mechanisms aligned with customer and company objectives
- Translate Phoenix Tailings’ technical capabilities into clear, compelling commercial value propositions tailored to customer needs
- Leverage and expand existing relationships to accelerate deal timelines and unlock new opportunities within partner organizations
- Navigate multi‑layered supply chains to position Phoenix materials within end‑customer specifications and procurement pathways
- Capture and synthesize market feedback to inform production priorities, product development, and go‑to‑market strategy
- 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial roles with a strong emphasis on closing deals
- Proven track record of securing and executing complex, multi‑million‑dollar agreements with large industrial or government‑linked organizations
- Experience selling into or partnering with Tier 1 suppliers, OEMs, or defense contractors
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to structure sophisticated agreements and evaluate trade‑offs quickly
- Deep understanding of industrial supply chains, procurement processes, and long‑cycle sales environments
- Ability to operate independently, generate leads, and drive deals forward in ambiguous and rapidly evolving markets
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- Exceptional project management skills, with experience managing complex, multidisciplinary initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary + discretionary bonus for this role. Total package may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay Range: $200,000–$250,000 total cash compensation plus equity
