Position Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst, Business Support will serve as a key partner between Finance/Accounting and cross-functional teams. This role is responsible for leading month-end close activities, developing accurate forecasts, preparing detailed variance analyses, and presenting budget updates to leadership. The position will provide expert support in meeting the company’s accounting and finance requirements while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Month-end close:
Lead and execute month-end close processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and consolidated financial review with fast-paced deadlines - Forecasting:
Maintain financial forecasts weekly to ensure accuracy and alignment with company objectives. Develop automated reporting and scorecards to improve visibility of KPIs and variances - Annual Budgets:
Oversee end-to-end budget process, acting as an interface between Finance department and internal business unit. Partner with cross-functional teams to gather input and validate assumptions to build annual budget - Communication:
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights - Performance Improvement Contribution (PIC) – Identify, execute, and/or support PIC initiatives. Respond to the needs of the Company by identifying and realizing additional expense/capital saving practices
- Special Projects – complete special projects as given by leadership
- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance required.
- Minimum 3-5 years related Accounting/Finance – preference is 5+ yrs
- Advanced Excel user, proficiency in computerized accounting applications
