Key Responsibilities- Providing individual in‑home therapy and telehealth therapy sessions.
- Performing bio‑psycho‑social assessments (if you have or are willing to train).
- Providing coping and social skills, anger management, and reducing risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.
- Working to improve youth and caretaker decision‑making skills to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.
- Collaborating effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also support the youth and family.
- Submitting all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.).
- Attending monthly meetings and submitting mandatory clinical documentation.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT.
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training.
- Training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training.
- Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.
- Experience with treatment planning, goal setting, progress notes, and initial assessments.
- Experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response.
- Knowledge of DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.
- Availability for a minimum 6‑10 hours per week during after‑school hours (12 noon through 8 pm); weekend flexibility is a plus.
- Experience providing positive behavior supports.
- Experience working with children ages 3‑20; experience with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.
- Pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
- Submit resume plus copies of master’s degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship; H‑1B or other employment visas are not sponsored.
State Reciprocity
State reciprocity is considered, but the candidate needs to be no more than 25‑30 minutes commute to the designated service areas. The license must be registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board (i.e., PA, NY & NJ).

$45 – $75 per hour.
