Overview
Title: Demand Planner
Location: Burlington, NJ
Salary: $75,000 – $110,000 + Great Benefits package
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full time (Must be US Citizen or green card holder)
DescriptionThis role is responsible for supporting effective inventory management, aligning production with customer demand, and improving overall supply chain efficiency. It develops demand forecasts, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and provides insights to enhance forecast accuracy and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights to develop demand forecasts across product lines.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build a rolling demand plan through a structured planning cycle, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement of forecasting methods.
- Lead and manage the monthly demand planning process.
- Support supply planning efforts to meet projected demand while considering capacity and inventory targets.
- Evaluate forecast accuracy, identify trends in error or bias, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize shortages or excess.
- Assess demand risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to address challenges and leverage favorable trends.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, metrics, and key performance indicators to track planning effectiveness.
- Utilize planning and enterprise systems to manage forecasts and communicate plans across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or a similar function, with familiarity in formal planning processes and supply chain analytics.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems required.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
