Position Overview
The Mailroom Associate Level III will be responsible for supporting the mail room with scanning, sorting, distribution, and delivery of mail/packages to the corporate offices. Operating the third‑party scanning and shipping system for outbound shipments. Includes various administrative, physical, and labor‑intensive tasks.
A Day In The Life- Mail & package receipt/internal and external distribution.
- Third‑party shipping system for outbound mail/package and preparation.
- Record retention retrieval and delivery.
- Using the scanning system to ensure all inbound mail and packages are sorted and delivered to the correct area or persons.
- Delivering office supplies, toner, paper.
- All carrier packages must scan into the delivery system; packages are sorted and unboxed for delivery to the office to which they were delivered.
- Pickup and delivery of record retention boxes.
- Mail pickup and drop off from local post offices.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of mail center, clerical, delivery, receiving, shipping and store keeping experience.
- Ability to read and interpret charts and tables.
- Experience operating a postage meter device.
- Ability to safely lift and carry equipment, packages and office supplies.
- Be able to observe fully safe work practices and driving rules.
- Must be able to plan and prioritize work.
- Able to communicate in a clear and tactful manner.
- Ability to multi‑task and shift priorities as department needs change throughout the day.
- Knowledge of basic record‑keeping procedures.
- Knowledge of Fed Ex, UPS, USPS and third‑party shipping systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel a plus.
Licenses/Certification/Registration: Possession of a valid state driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
