Position Opportunity Alamance Foods is seeking a motivated Operations Analyst to support operational excellence and data-driven decision-making across manufacturing operations. In this hands-on, onsite role, you will partner with Operations, R&D, Quality, Marketing, and supplier teams to analyze operational performance, optimize processes, improve efficiency, and support the development of innovative and cost-effective food and beverage manufacturing solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operations Analytics & Performance Improvement Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, including:

Production attainments

Downtime analysis

Line speed performance

Labor costs

Operational efficiency metrics

Develop and maintain databases and dashboards to visualize key Operations KPIs and support performance tracking.

Conduct statistical analysis and prepare reports to support operational decision-making.

Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for process improvement and cost optimization.

Cross-Functional Operations Support Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Marketing teams to:

Develop operations strategies that meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.

Support new product development and commercialization efforts.

Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Work with internal teams and external suppliers to assess material specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Packaging & Process Optimization Evaluate and test packaging materials to ensure compliance with:

Food safety regulations

Quality standards

Sustainability goals

Develop specifications, technical drawings, and testing protocols for raw materials and packaging components.

Identify and implement automation opportunities and efficiency improvements within packaging processes to:

Increase production efficiency

Reduce waste

Improve operational consistency

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement Investigate production issues and provide data-driven solutions to maintain operational performance.

Apply process improvement methodologies, statistical analysis, and operational assessments to improve manufacturing processes.

Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process evaluation, and implementation of operational solutions.

Qualifications Education/Training Master’s Degree required in one of the following:

Business Analytics Business Administration (MBA)
Closely related analytical or business discipline

Experience

Six (6) months experience in business development required.

Experience supporting operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or process improvement initiatives preferred.
