We are hiring for a positive and personable individual looking for a satisfying and fun opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and people facing mental health and substance use challenges at RHA Health Services. Supports are provided in residential, school, workplace, and community settings with a strength‑based approach focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and the highest level of functioning.
Staff ratios consider evening, weekend, and special population needs. Qualified Professionals provide services for relevant populations under supervision and direction.
- Type:
Regular - Pay: $20‑$21 per hour
- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday
- Bachelor's degree (Human Services field) & 2+ years full‑time experience with the population served
- Bachelor's degree (Not Human Services field) & 4+ years full‑time experience with the population served
- OR
- Master’s Degree or higher & 1+ year full‑time experience with the population served.
- License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, or Permit issued by a governing board regulating the human service profession.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Human Service Degrees include:
Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or other Human Service Degrees. - Populations Served include:
Mentally ill – Child, Mentally ill – Adult, Substance Abuse – Adult, Substance Abuse – Child.
- Provides support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use issues in home, school, workplace, and community settings.
- Assists individuals in living independently through strength‑based interventions and promotion of recovery.
- Facilitates relationships and serves as a link between clients, the company, family, guardians, local agencies, and the community.
- Minimizes negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence, providing supportive counseling.
- Supports clients in developing skill‑building activities: daily and community living skills, socialization skills, adaptation skills, behavior and anger management.
- Performs case‑management functions of linking and arranging services and referrals.
- Works closely with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication, provide feedback, standardize procedures, and expedite service implementation.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Complete criminal background check.
- Name checked in registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
- Drug testing.
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references, if required.
- Positions requiring driving: proof of driver's license, insurance, and vehicle (if required for transportation).
