Machine Operator - Novelty Yarn Plant

Glen Raven is recruiting for a Machine Operator for our Novelty Yarn Plant which is a multi‑functional position that offers a variety of activities and duties throughout the workday. Experience in manufacturing chenille yarn is a plus.

• Responsible for operating narrow warper, including creeling and loading and stripping (88) position creel – 5 lb. packages
• Responsible for following reed threading layouts.
• Load and unload narrow warp beams.
• Tie in wraps for warp knitting machines.
• Operate narrow width warp knitting machines.
• Tie in and doff completed packages.
• Operate Sample‑Sized Opening/Carding equipment.
• Operate Sample‑Sized Ring Spinning/Winding equipment.
• Operate Sample‑Sized Doubling/Twisting equipment.
• Operate Specialty Yarn Twisting/Winding equipment.
• Considerable creeling of 5 lbs. yarn packages.
• Maintain quality and productivity documentation for machine assignments.

• Previous experience in a textile manufacturing preferred
• High School Diploma Preferred
