Overview
Alamance Foods is a leading manufacturer of aerosol whipped cream, flavored drinks, freeze pops, and bottled water, producing, packing and shipping private labels based on customer needs.
The Maintenance A/B (Maintenance tech A or
B) plays a critical role in supporting the maintenance, reliability, and efficiency of Alamance Foods' production operations. This position is the first line of contact for performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of high-speed food and beverage manufacturing equipment.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on production and utility equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues
- Repair or replace defective components, including motors, belts, bearings, sensors, and control systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and basic automation equipment
- Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
- Accurately document maintenance activities in daily logs and the Micro Main CMMS system
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, OSHA, and Alamance Foods safety standards
- Identify required replacement parts and maintain spare parts inventory
- Coach others in troubleshooting, repair and PMs
- Communicate with Production Line supervisor and Maintenance supervisor to prioritize When Down Due work
- Escalate DT issues greater than 30 minutes to Maintenance Supervisor
