Overview
Exciting full‑time Family Nurse Practitioner opportunity in Burlington, NC. Main Street Family Care is growing and seeks a fast, fun, and friendly FNP to provide patient‑focused care across urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role is ideal for early‑career FNPs, including brand new graduates who have not yet taken boards. After on‑site orientation and training, you will work shifts with experienced providers and receive ongoing support such as complimentary pediatric urgent care courses and on‑call clinical decision‑making help.
Responsibilities- Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
- Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
- Suturing
- Splinting
- General orthopedic evaluation and management
- Reviewing x‑rays (over‑read by a radiologist)
- General dermatology
- General eye problem assessment
- General EKG interpretation
- Emergency management skills
- General GYN expertise
- Treating children of all ages
- Occupational medicine
- Telemedicine
Clinic hours are extended, 7 days a week.
- Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.
- Week 1:
Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON). - Week 2:
Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).
- Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required
- MSN or higher education required (new graduate friendly)
- DOT certification required or willing to become DOT certified; cost covered by employer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
