Registered Nurse / RN / Behavioral Health Facility-Based Crisis (Part Time, PRN, OR Full Time)
Location:
RHA Health Services (North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New Jersey). Hiring for a facility-based crisis care nurse. A $5,000 sign‑on bonus is available for full‑time RN positions only. Day shift schedules with 12‑hour rotations (7 a.m.–7 p.m. and 7 p.m.–7 a.m.).
Regular (full time or part time). Option for PRN.
About the RoleThis position is a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides integrated behavioral health care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Nurses oversee general nursing care and services in a facility-based crisis/non‑hospital detox setting. All patients are voluntary and perform their own activities of daily living. No physical or chemical restraints are used. Average length of stay is 5–7 days.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize nursing assessment skills to evaluate and monitor clients, support behavioral health and substance use treatment, and respond to crises.
- Comply with controlled substance policy and procedures, maintain accurate inventories and controlled logs, and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor consumer responses to medications, documenting side effects and adverse reactions.
- Complete quality assurance activities and participate in the QA process.
- Communicate effectively with the team.
- Perform non‑standard nursing assignments with excellent listening and communication skills.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license and required certifications for the specific service provided.
- Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred; at least one year of nursing experience is advantageous.
- Some college training and/or management experience helpful.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance coverage (condition of employment).
- Maintain proficiency in company‑sponsored training, certifications, and privileging, if required.
- Criminal background check.
- Registry name checks (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
- Drug testing.
- Education verification and other credentialing as required.
- Proof of employment history or references when required.
