Physician - Urgent Care Shift Flexibility

Position Summary

We are seeking a Full‑Time clinician to join our team in Burlington. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast‑paced, well‑supported urgent care environment.

Clinic hours are 8:00 AM -- 8:00 PM Mon
- Fri and 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Sat
- Sun. Two
- Three 12‑hour shifts per week with shorter 6‑hour shifts every other weekend.

• $60--$80/hour (based on experience) + productivity bonus
• Full-benefits package available
• Sign On Bonus: $5,000.00

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with Next Care clinical standards and values

• Active, unrestricted NC license for NP | PA
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
• PA: NCCPA certification
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
• Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
