Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct inpatient nursing care to a diverse patient population with multiple co-morbidities, including a specialized stroke and neuro patient population
- Manage telemetry monitoring, including remote monitoring, and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
- Perform and manage vascular access including peripheral lines, central lines, PICC lines, port access, and IV starts
- Administer blood products and provide feeding tube care and management
- Implement isolation precautions and perform wound care, including wound vac management
- Float between multiple facility campuses as required, maintaining safe patient care standards at a 1:5–1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Telemetry experience with remote monitoring required; on-unit monitoring experience preferred
- On-unit telemetry monitoring experience (in addition to remote monitoring)
- Experience caring for stroke and neurological patient populations
- Familiarity with nasal cannula oxygen delivery and CVA patient management
