Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to a diverse inpatient population, focusing on neuro and stroke patients. Deliver quality patient monitoring and management in a fast-paced hospital environment during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor patient care, including feeding tube management, IV starts, and blood product administration.
• Perform assessments and implement care plans for patients with multiple co-morbidities, ensuring adherence to isolation and wound care protocols.
• Manage vascular access devices such as ports, PICC lines, and central lines, ensuring proper care and maintenance.
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and care coordination.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Float between facilities as needed, maintaining flexibility to meet staffing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience.
• Hold an active nursing license in good standing.
• Demonstrate competency in telemetry remote monitoring and unit-based patient care.
• Be BLS and NIH Certified; EPIC experience required.
• Have current driver's license and pass EKG compliance exam.
• Comfortable performing wound care, IV placement, and managing vascular lines.
