This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), including every other weekend and holidays as needed.
This position involves providing specialized care for stroke (neuro) patient populations in an inpatient setting with a variety of co-morbidities. RNs will be responsible for telemetry monitoring, managing feeding tubes, administering blood products, and performing central and peripheral line care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform telemetry monitoring for patients.
- Care for patients with feeding tubes and manage their care.
- Administer blood products and provide central and peripheral line care.
- Manage PICC line and starting of IVs.
- Implement isolation precautions and provide wound care.
- Utilize Epic for charting and patient documentation.
- Care for patients with cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs) and use nasal cannula for oxygen therapy.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring preferred.
- BLS and NIH certification required.
- Active RN license required at the time of submission.
- Pass Fail EKG exam required for all RNs, regardless of specialty.
