Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Nights, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend/holiday.
The Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse will serve as a critical member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality care primarily to medical-surgical patients. This position requires EKG monitoring skills and offers a supportive environment with nursing assistants and unit secretaries available. Nurses will need to float to various Cone campuses as patient care demands dictate.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor patients including those requiring telemetry.
- Administer medications and manage medical equipment.
- Conduct EKG monitoring and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- Telemetry skills with remote monitoring experience are required.
