American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2+ years experience and telemetry remote monitoring background for a night shift assignment.

• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, including specialized stroke/neuro population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-730a
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Floating required between all Cone Health facilities
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience required; on-unit telemetry monitoring experience preferred
• Experience with feeding tube care and management required
• Experience accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs required
• Experience with CVA patient care and nasal cannula use required
• Experience with isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients with a focus on stroke/neuro specialty population
• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring/emergency response as part of daily responsibilities
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
