Role Overview:
The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry, administering medications, preparing patients for procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Key Duties:Explain procedures, ensure safety and infection control, document patient information, advocate for patient needs, coordinate discharge planning, and support clinical protocols. Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritize based on acuity, and maintain professional ethics.
Qualifications & Skills:Requires at least one year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS certification. Preferred certifications include NIHSS and ACLS. Essential skills include critical thinking, strong communication, physical stamina, technical proficiency, and the ability to work under pressure.
