Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Job Summary
:
Authora Care Collective is seeking a reliable, customer‑focused individual to work at our Burlington Thrift Store. The role involves loading and unloading the dock, receiving, sorting, and moving donated merchandise, operating the store truck for pickups, and maintaining the furniture department. The position requires physical strength, flexibility, and a positive attitude to represent the organization’s mission and provide excellent service to donors, shoppers, and co‑workers.
- Drive the thrift store truck to pick up donated merchandise.
- Assist with loading and unloading truck merchandise.
- Work the dock courteously and efficiently.
- Pre‑sort donated items in the dock area.
- Clean, repair, and price items for the furniture department.
- Move furniture in and out of the store.
- Assist customers with questions and carry merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness of the retail area as needed.
- Help with furniture display in the furniture department.
- Be flexible to work in any department required.
- Lift 60 lbs or more when necessary.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license required.
- Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by the agency.
- Must have own transportation.
