B2B Sales, Account Manager, Business Development
We partner with and print for some of the largest, most recognizable brands in the world — and we’re just getting started. Meredith-Webb is a dynamic, growing commercial print, packaging, and direct mail company, running a demanding, multi-shift production floor — large-format sheetfed presses, bindery and finishing equipment, and full prepress capabilities — that turns big brand ideas into work customers can count on.
Our Sales team is at the center of that growth. This role gets real ownership of real brand relationships, the autonomy to build a territory, and a production floor built to deliver on what you sell.
About the RoleThe Account Executive sells Meredith-Webb’s custom print, packaging, and direct mail capabilities to prospective and existing clients in the Consumer Goods, Financial, Retail, and Pharma industries. You’ll own the customer relationship end to end — identifying opportunities, understanding what the client needs, and translating that into a project Meredith-Webb can produce successfully.
This is the primary revenue-driving role at Meredith-Webb, and the customer’s main advocate inside the company. You’ll work in close partnership with Estimating, Customer Service, and Manufacturing to make sure what you sell can actually be produced on time, at the right price, and at the right margin.
What You’ll Do- Generate and close new business against an assigned sales target within the Consumer Goods, Financial, Retail, and/or Pharma verticals, and build an active pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Present Meredith-Webb’s capabilities and value to prospective clients in a way that is credible and specific to their needs, converting interest into signed, producible orders.
- Grow revenue within your existing account base, serving as the client’s primary point of contact for new opportunities, pricing conversations, and account-level issues.
- Receive and interpret client specifications, gather what Estimating needs to build an accurate quote, and work with the Estimating Manager and Estimators to finalize pricing.
- Discuss quote details and pricing with clients to secure signed orders, escalating margin or feasibility concerns internally before commitments are made.
- Coordinate each client’s project through Customer Service, Estimating, and Production — including press okays, site visits, and plant tours — and communicate job-status changes to affected departments.
- Resolve client-facing issues that arise during production, partnering with Customer Service and Manufacturing on a solution before the client is impacted.
- Maintain accurate account and opportunity records, and give the VP of Sales & Business Development timely, honest pipeline and forecast updates.
- Proven track record of success in B2B outside sales, ideally in commercial print, packaging, direct mail, or a comparable custom-manufactured product.
- Demonstrated experience managing a sales quota or book of business and consistently meeting targets.
- Experience selling into complex B2B buying processes comparable to Consumer Goods, Financial, Retail, or Pharma accounts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build credibility quickly with new contacts and deliver presentations tailored to a specific audience.
- Ability to work independently with little day-to-day direction, while proactively communicating with internal teams and solving problems under deadline pressure.
- Mathematical skills sufficient to work with percentages, ratios, and proportions, and basic accounting and financial concepts relevant to pricing and margin.
- Bachelor’s degree required; significant, directly relevant sales experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Established client relationships or an…
