• Spring Group of Greensboro, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for older adults. We provide a full continuum of services including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care.
We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team every weekend on the evening/night shift. This role helps maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
ResponsibilitiesPatrol the entire campus on foot and by vehicle
Vary patrol patterns to deter potential criminal activity
Monitor and secure apartments, garden homes, healthcare, administrative offices, wellness center, dining areas, and other common spaces
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and assist healthcare professionals as needed
Assist residents and visitors (carrying packages, wheelchair/scooter help, escorting, etc.)
Maintain accurate daily activity and vehicle logs
Report and initiate maintenance requests for safety-related issues
Assist with deliveries, information distribution, and minor maintenance tasks
Respond to emergency situations such as illness, fire, or natural disasters (must maintain CPR & First Aid certification)
Provide transportation assistance to residents as needed
Remain on duty until properly relieved by the next shift
Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and standards at all times
QualificationsRequired:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid NC Driver’s License with clean driving record
At least 21 years of age
Ability to work weekends and flexible hours when necessary
Strong communication and public relations skills
Ability to make sound decisions in various situations
Preferred:
Minimum 6 months of experience in security, law enforcement, military, firefighting, or EMS
