Join Our Team as a Lowboy Driver/Equipment Operator at Kirkpatrick Concrete of Burlington, Inc.
Kirkpatrick Concrete of Burlington, Inc. is a locally and family-owned company with over 40 years of experience in the concrete construction field. We are currently seeking a experienced and dedicated Lowboy Driver/Equipment Operator to join our team in Burlington, NC.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A commerical motor vehicle with lowboy trailer and other assigned trucks
- Secure heavy contruction equipment properly for safe transportation between job sites
- Pick up and deliver equipment tojob sites in a safe and timely manner as possible
- Inspect truck and trailer for any defective items
- Assist construction crews with tasks as needed on job sites between moves
- Maintain a good driving record for Insurance approval
- Perform equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of vehicle
- Follow instructions on job site and work well with other crew members
Required Skills:
- Knowledge and ability to follow all company safety policies, OHSA and DOT requirements
- Experience operating tractor and trailer
- Some experience or ability to learnoperation ofheavy equipment such as motor graders, skid steersand curb machine
- Ability to follow directions and locate job sites
- Ability to perform quality equipment maintenance
- Experience with preventive maintenance
- Strong understanding of personal protective equipment and safety protocols
- Willingness to work in others areas of daily operations as needed
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Nice to Have
Skills:
- Experience with basic mechanics
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and hydraulics
- Ability to operate skid steer loaders and backhoes
Salary and Benefits:
- Minimum Salary: $46,940.00
- Maximum Salary: $57,200.00
- Work schedule is Monday-Thursday, some Fridays as needed
- No overnight travel
