Position Overview

Administrative Assistant to provide support in the St. Johnsbury Vermont UVM Extension office, including maintaining conference room schedules and travel arrangements, tracking workshop registrations, coordinating event logistics, answering phones, and providing reception services.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain conference room schedules and coordinate room usage.
  • Arrange travel and lodging for staff and guests.
  • Track workshop registrations and manage related documentation.
  • Coordinate logistics for campus and extension events.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and provide reception services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree and 1–3 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of office software applications and familiarity with Internet resources.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to interact with the public.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of People Soft software.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Pay Range

Anticipated Pay Range $24.00/hr to $29.00/hr

Other Information
  • Position is located at the St. Johnsbury Extension Office.
  • May require travel to other UVM facilities, Extension field offices, or venues in Vermont.
Special Conditions
  • Probationary period may be required.
  • Position is ineligible for telework due to essential functions.
  • Background check required.
