We are looking for a
Used Vehicle Technician
to join the Hoffman Auto Group family!

Role

Purpose:

Repair vehicles in a safe, efficient, ethical manner with customer satisfaction as first priority.

Leadership: This position does not lead others.

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership guidelines
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, alignments, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Keep updated/receive training on automotive technology and industry-standard practices
• Maintain basic tools necessary to complete assigned jobs. Toolbox must be kept clean and orderly in the work area.
• Other duties as assigned

Competencies and Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred
• Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset
• Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement
• Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.
• Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
