Position Overview

CALS Graduate Affairs Coordinator – The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Dean’s Office seeks a coordinator to oversee graduate business operations, lead the annual budget process for graduate student funding, track graduate student funding, and collaborate with the Graduate College, Office of International Education (OIE), graduate program directors, CALS leadership team, and CALS Human Resources.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee graduate business operations for CALS.
  • Lead the annual budget process for graduate student funding.
  • Track graduate student funding and collaborate with the Graduate College.
  • Coordinate with the Office of International Education, graduate program directors, and CALS leadership team.
  • Collaborate with CALS Human Resources on relevant matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, sponsor, and institutional regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain complex financial accounts and funds using accounting and budgeting skills.
  • Work independently and as a team member to research and resolve problems, meet deadlines, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of contracts and grant transactions and applicable financial systems.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, fiscal and reporting principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a customer service focus.

Pay Range

$64,000 – $75,000 annually.

Other Information

4‑month probationary period required.

Special Conditions

Position eligible for a hybrid schedule with option to split time between campus and elsewhere. Background check required.
